We are assisting a globally pioneering and established Ag-Tech robotics startup in their search for a dynamic and experienced HR Manager to join their growing team in California. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Human Resources, the HR Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing HR strategies that align with the company’s goals and values. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HR management, a deep understanding of US employment laws, and a passion for driving organizational success through effective talent management and employee engagement initiatives.
Work Model: Hybrid (minimum of two days per week in the office).
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with leadership to develop and implement HR policies and procedures that support the company’s objectives and promote a positive work culture.
- Manage the full spectrum of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and compliance.
- Lead the recruitment process by working with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, source and screen candidates, conduct interviews, and make hiring recommendations.
- Develop and execute comprehensive onboarding programs to ensure new employees are seamlessly integrated into the organization and equipped with the necessary tools and resources.
- Drive performance management processes, offering guidance and support to managers on performance reviews, goal setting, feedback, and development planning.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, providing guidance on HR-related matters, conflict resolution, and employee development initiatives.
- Administer employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining competitive positioning.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant employment laws and regulations to ensure company compliance and proactively address any potential risks or issues.
- Oversee employee engagement initiatives, organizing events, surveys, and programs designed to enhance morale, collaboration, and retention.
- Maintain accurate HR records and systems, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of data at all times.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
- At least 5 years of progressive HR experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Experience in the robotics, software and hardware, semiconductors, or manufacturing R&D industries is highly desirable.
- Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws and regulations in California, Washington, and Iowa.
- Demonstrated expertise in all aspects of HR management, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation, and benefits administration.
